The race was won by the No. 10 Cadillac DPi-V.R. team of Renger van der Zande, Ryan Briscoe, and Scott Dixon. The trio completed 740 laps, or 2,976 miles, to claim the overall victory. It was an impressive performance for the No. 10 team, as they were able to hold off a late charge from the No. 5 Cadillac DPi-V.R. of Tristan Vautier, Sebastien Bourdais, and Pipo Derani to win by just under a half-minute. The No. 5 team finished second and the No. 6 Acura DPi of Dane Cameron, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Simon Pagenaud came in third.
The Rolex 24 at Daytona also featured some of the world’s best prototype and GT cars. The GTLM class was won by the No. 24 BMW M8 GTE of John Edwards, Jesse Krohn, and Augusto Farfus. The No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Nick Tandy, Frederic Makowiecki, and Matt Campbell came in second, while the No. 3 Corvette C8.R of Antonio Garcia, Jordan Taylor, and Nicky Catsburg rounded out the top three.
The GTD class was won by the No. 29 Audi R8 LMS GT3 of Kelvin van der Linde, Christopher Mies, and Mattia Drudi. The No. 57 Acura NSX GT3 of Mario Farnbacher, Trent Hindman, and Justin Marks finished second, while the No. 11 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Bryan Sellers, Madison Snow, and Andrea Caldarelli completed the podium.
